Diana glared up at him, her silver eyes glittering as she scowled. It was amazing how quickly the young woman could switch between being terrified to being downright furious. Or perhaps she had just snapped. It would explain why she could sit there and scold a murderer when she was lost in the middle of a forest with no way to defend herself and no one there to save her.
He’d thrown water on her though! Very cold water! Now she was lost, had been scared half to death, and was freezing on top of it all! At that thought she shivered before getting to her feet. She wrapped her arms around herself and started to bounce in place in an attempt to stay warm, her teeth chattering all the while. She must have made quite a funny sight, but at the moment that thought didn’t bother her at all.
“You really have to ask that?! You just KILLED someone, for goodness sake and then suddenly appeared right in front of me when I tried to run! Why WOULDN’T I have fainted after all that?!”
Her voice rose more and more as she spoke, until she was shouting at the man. She couldn’t help it though; she just wasn’t good at dealing with this sort of stress. And besides, the man deserved to be yelled at for killing.
