Story: Stories circled through the numerous cities, telling of a girl with a stane in her hand. But she wasn't a normal girl. She'd brought much pain and despair. For, in the sun's light, she was a monster--a giant bird-woman that rained destrution, levelling cities and leaving behind few survivors. No one knew where the girl came from, or where she was going. They just knew that the girl with the stone in her hand was an omen of death... ...And even after one hundred fifty years, the legend carried on, even though the girl had vanished. Meanwhile, an odd family has surfaced--the mother having a similar stone in her forehead. They seek the stones, and each possess one, somewhere on their body. Each of them, too, transforms into a beast as well... What is it about these stones, all recovered from ancient ruins, that seems to be so important? Why do they appear as part of people? And why does it seem that the one well-known person who wields it transforms into a monster...? Plot: In a similar time on our planet, there exist numerous stones, all depicting creatures of Greek Myth. These stones were once lost in a time long past, buried in ruins not yet found by science. These stones bury themselves into the skin of the seeker, though some die quickly from the strain. The stones themselves--rounded, flat pieces like thick discs--are special, containing the soul of a monster. Those discovered so far are and who they belong to are: Desponia Zabat - Stone of Echidna Aglaia Zabat - Stone of Scylla Sophia Floros - Stone of Charybdis Akakios, Sotiris and Stylianos - Triplet Stones of Cerberus Inanna Solyom - Stone of Celaeno (a Harpy) There are numerous stones remaining, all depicting creatures of Greek myth. None of the gods/goddesses or demigods, but the actual monsters. Those who cannot synch with their stones die, although some will still not properly synch and live to forever be doomed to transform into the monster within when exposed to certain things--like sunlight for Inanna. The stones grant a certain degree of immortality, and actually physically change some traits (eyes and hair, usually). Where they bore into is sometimes dependent on the stone, as well as the person. Find one yourself! D: And, you can change them somewhat. The monster can come out by choice, but others will have problems. They can choose, or have instances where they're exposed to something (I used Inanna and sunlight as an example; Sophia is completely at will, while Aglaia cannot be exposed to, of all things, perfume, near the stone in her chest) that forces the change. As for the changing... Charybdis is a giant whirlpool. You think Sophia can manage a whirlpool on land? xD |

...Violet, in our post, where IS your character? ...And I can't think up a description or anything for the character...Can I just claim the Stone of Hydra right now and work on the character later? Oh! Could I have him cursed to be in his monstrous form all the time? |

Well, the only requirements for him would be that he'd be Desponia's son (like the other monsters listed as her children). He COULD be trapped in monster form all the time (a rebel with no control). Maybe Inanna eventually helps him into his human state again... xD |

He's about a mile south of you. The only place a cave should be is in the mountain near Violet's house. I think we should just wait until Clea gets back, the Argent RP is more appealing to me. It's been a while since I've had any combat. |

Name: Orius Zabat, though each head has its own name to be referred to. Ira, Gauisus, Silentium, Sapiens, Sedo, Miserabilis, and Purus, in order of the eye color spectrum. Age: Lost count somewhere in the 200s, and is much older. Race: Hydra. Gender: Male. Hieght/Weight: 30 feet at highest head on water's surface/More than a ton. Hair: None. Eyes: Differ for each of the seven heads. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and white, with black pupils that are always two cat's-eye slits crossed at perpidicular. Build: It looked like the Loch-Ness Monster from the heads down. A large, long lump of scaly blue flesh that slowly thinned out as it reached the tail. Four huge limbs sat at the bottom, under the water, like a dragon or a dog's, but with huge, webbed feet to help it manuver back and forth and down and up with ease. The heads were connected by seven necks to the body, and on the top of each neck rested a scaly form that was akin to a bird with a long, sharp beak, and two horns jutting out. There were two eyes for each otherwise-identical head of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and white. The pupils were always the same; two black, thin cat's-eye slits put against each other like an X rotated to one side a little too far. On each forhead was a shard of its stone, each piece embedded there the same color as the eyes. Clothing: None. History: Another of Desponia's children, he too went on a long journey to find one of the stones. His lead him through the oceans, seas, and lakes of the world, wishing to find the Stone of Hyrda. During this time, he became quite knowledgeable out the sea, and knew most every waterway accesible to his depth limit. Finally, he found the stone he was looking for. However, it seemed he has had the worse luck of the family. The Stone was cracked, and found at the bottom of none other than Loch Ness. When he touched it in his diver suit, it was HE who started the ledgends of Loch Ness. His Stone transformed him into the many-necked creature known as the Hydra, his stone splitting to cover each of the seven foreheads. This was expected. What was NOT expected was that he could not merge back into human form. However, his many studies on the sea--and many, many more now that he could move to pratically any depth--have given him all sorts of power. He can transport himself to any body of water large enough to hold his mass using the mystical Waterways, which lay below possible human depth but connect all waters. As well, he has learned thousands of spells dealing with water, including making clones of his former self, and communcating through any reflected surface. If he tries hard enough, he can shrink down his true form to smaller sizes for small periods of time, but must ALWAYS stay in water. He has a major drawback, though. His seven heads all have seperate personalities, and it is very rare that he is truly his full self. Though it is known when this happens when all the pieces glow and the heads speak in unison. Stone: Stone of Hydra |

Oh my....perhaps maybe....hmmm.... Name: Talik Lossek Meaning: (I'd fill this in if I knew what it meant) Age: 2000+ years, appears 32 in current existence Race: Umm...human (with Asian influence)? (When not transformed) Gender: Male Height/Weight: 6'2", 179 pounds/25'8", 3.2 metric tons Hair: Golden brown with a high sheen, tied into cornrows that drape to the middle of the back of his neck. Eyes: Auburn, though the shade depends heavily on the lighting. Darker by far in weakly lit areas, but quite light when in sunlight. Build: Muscular, with well-toned upper body and some definition to all lower muscles. This holds true for both forms. Clothing: He always wears his favorite shirt the color of tanned animal hide with the design of wings wrapping around his chest where the ribcage bones would be. His pants are a yellow-brown khaki that go to his knees, with strips of tanned hide sewn into the bottom of it and dangling the rest of the way to his ankles (plenty of space in between the strips, think of it like those beaded curtains people try to substitute for doorways) Oddly enough, he usually wears sandals with velcro to fasten them. He also wears a glove on his left hand/arm that covers his forearm all the way to the shoulder. When it reaches the hand, it thins out into a harder plastic material that laces through the gaps between each of his fingers. History: If unclear by his outward appearance, Talik transforms into Talos with the stone on his body. He's spent much of his life honing his favorite martial arts skills: sword-play and karate. He also greatly enjoys travel, but always finds his way back to his true home in the southern part of Hokkaido. He constantly finds solice on islands, trying to avoid the mainlands as often as possible unless curiousity gets the best of him. The stone first made its appearance on his current form when he was 26 years old after a car accident. The stone was originally buried under his skin until the crash opened the flesh in the proper spot and brought it forth. He was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with phantom pains brought on by his body remembering all of his past at once. Every 112 years, he goes into a 5 year hibernation period before emerging once more as a child with no recollection of his past until the stone once again presents itself. In his past, he spent his lives as a sort of guardian over the islands he was born on. He hopped from island to island in the Pacific. Developing his skills in so many areas lead to a strange form of karate by normal standards. He currently spends his time training students in a dojo in the art of kendo. He is known for never using the proper gear against his opponents...ever. He seems oddly unphazed by any blows received. Stone: Cruxia Demora, Stone of Talos Yup...hope that's workable. |

Ooo yay! x3 Name: Natasha Sperkiled Meaning: none Age: 27 Race: Human Gender: Female Hieght/Weight: 5'10 / 135 lb's Hair: Firey Aburn Eyes: Grass green, no hint of brown or blue, just straight green Build: Long, strong legs, strong arms, squared shoulders, size C chest. Strong jaw, slashing cheek bones. Big round eyes, slanted brown. Pointed nose, narrow and pert. Thin upper lip, lush and full bottom lip. Her hair curls naturally. Clothing: A white wisp of clothing that goes to an inch below the knee. She has a bold band on the her upper arm, giving the earthreal look of a goddess. Half her hair is held up with a pendent her godfather gave her. History: She wasn't a pretty child. When she was born her fair fetures had been too close together, until she had grown older, grown into her face. Her mother and father had been appaled, not wanting anything to do with the beby. But her godfather, and later she found out her actual father for her mother had had an affair with him, Loved her like no other. He spent hours with her and she often stayed at his house dso she didn't have to deal with her mother and father's rantings. When she was 14 and pubety hit, she grew into her fetures and her face became that of an angel. Every manner of man came to her calling, but she wanted nothing to do with them. She's strong headed and stubborn, a result of having to put up with the teasing when she was young. She refuses to fall in love, though she came close once. At the age of 16 her godfather gave her the gold band around her upper arm and told her that it was very important to keep it. The next night he died in his bed of heart failure. So she wore the gold band on her upper arm, and on the iside of the band was a stong that soon dung itself into her skin, keeping the glod band in place as well. She soon found that the stone changed her, and she'd grown to love the other side of her. The strong and valient griffin. Stone: The griffins are creatures of the sun and at Apollo's command. Therefore I believe it would be the Stone of Apollo or, if you'd like, the Stone of Griffin. Either one, whatever you'd like to call it. |

They're typically named after a noteable creature, like Inanna has one of, like, three named Harpies (there are stones for all of them). There MAY be god stones LATER--named after gods. But right now, they're named after the creature, or noteable individuals amongst the race. |

Now, armed with better understanding... Meaning: Obviously, Talik Lossek possesses the two parts that make up the name Talos (or Tallos). Roughly translated, it means stronghold amidst the frozen lands, hinting at his true homeland. |
