The "Simpsons" Halloween/Treehouse of Horror episodes borrow heavily from old Twilight zone scripts. The Simpsons episode that's akin to "Talking Tina" is the one with the evil Krusty the Clown doll going amok and wanting to kill Homer. A repairman comes in and says something like; "Here's the trouble... the switch is set to "evil" ", or something to that effect. The guy flips the switch, which makes the Krusty doll act nice.

Not how the original Twilight zone episode goes, but the Simpson one works in the end for a family show.

I never saw that one but Talking Tina is one of the most famous Twilight Zone episodes and also the last appearance of Telly Savalas's hair.

Another TW ep that I love (and that the Simpsons parodied) was "To Serve Man".

A superadvanced alien race lands on Earth and offers medical and technological advancements with seemingly altruistic motives.

One alien accidentally leaves behind a book which earth's top linguists and codebreakers try to decypher. After months of study they find the book's title is "To Serve Man". But is that a good or a bad thing?

The episode with the gremlins on the airplane had William Shatner in the role as the panicked passenger. He was the only one on the whole plane who had seen the little monsters at all. In the Simpsons version, it was Bart who saw the gremlins tearing into the bus on the way to school.

"Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" was the name of the gremlins episode.

"The how to serve man" alien one... the book "How to Serve Man" is a cook book on how to SERVE man... thats kind of bad, but the episodes are cool!
