What is success?
|
You know, there was this guy named Alan Watts would said something very profound. People always are chasing after some end goal. Like, Kindergarten! Then you get to go the first grade! Then you get to go the second grade! And so on and so on, and then you get to go to high school, and college, etc, etc, then you go out and get a job. Then at that job, you try and get promotions. And when you finally get there, it's disappointing because you don't feel any different than you always have. And what happens is you've missed the whole point. Life is like a song. You don't rush through the song to hear the single clashing chord at the end; you listen to the song simply to enjoy it.

You make a good point Cupo. I too think that many rush through life always trying to reach the next goal, though there is nothing wrong with that in itself as long as it is not at the cost of spiritual things. Seems to me that people who never get satisfied are the ones who fill the spiritual need with a physical ones, when true contentment and satisfaction comes with filling that real need with the only thing that can truely quench it. I know you're not much for appreciating spiritual things right now, but that is what I think and wanted to share it. So how you been Cupo? What headway have you been making with your goals and aspirations? Have you been happy? I hope so. Orgasmic IB? I doubt if that was a reality for you. Was that an attempt at poorly chosed sarcasm or an honest attempt at mean-spirited teasing? Either way...not nice. Peace |

Was that an attempt at poorly chosed sarcasm or an honest attempt at mean-spirited teasing? Heh, actually I stretched the truth. I hated school so much from kindergarten to 12th grade. Each year that I moved up I grew a bit happier. |

If you are not chaste, poorly endowed, or sexually incompetant; then high school should be...literally... orgasmic. |

So how you been Cupo? What headway have you been making with your goals and aspirations? Have you been happy? I hope so. Oh, pretty good... I'm getting my GED and maybe actual grade 12 next year. After that, I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do... |
