If I were God, I would know it, because I would be omniscient. |

You could still be god, maybe not our typical idea of a god, but could still be a god. Maybe you erased your memory for a set time period to see what life is like being an imperfect human being, even though I'm sure a god would already know how it felt. You could still have god powers but possibly not god qualities. |

Semantic loophole, I have basically said that I am not a toaster, and you have turned around and said that I cannot be another kitchen appliance. I still know that I am not the mainstream, omniscient being whose very existance in itself is contestable. Thus, I know something. |

Yeah, I realized that when I posted, but was hoping you wouldn't realize it. Well.. one could say we are all made up of god, therefore we are god... but a human cell couldn't really be considered a human could it.. Well... who knows.... you could say "I know I'm not the type of god that would turn itself human" but... uhh... Maybe there is another god that exists outside of all our dimensions and universes that it would be impossible for our god to know it, even if he is all knowing, and some disturbance opened up a whole between the two dimensions and the other god instantly turned our god into a human for temporary protection. But I guess even so our god wouldn't be all knowing, it would know everything in our universe/dimension, but possibly not in others. That was a pretty bad example, but I'm sure someone good enough could counter arguments like that.. you just have to know if the skeptisist ideal applies to god or not, even if it is all knowing... |

Huh? I'm not sure what you just said, but I'm sure that you realize that you are only able to rationalize this by placing limitations on God. This is akin to what I said before; I am not talking about a limited God. |

Yeah... you're right.. I was just trying to apply limits that are unknown to the god, but I guess that is contradictory for a god that cannot be limited. And I'm just curious, is god supposed to be capitalized? Or can it be both, like if you are talking about a specific god like the Christian god you would call it God, but if you are talking about gods in general you would just use lower case? Oh and also, what if you became god in the future, right now you are limited, but what if you eventually become completely unlimited? True you aren't God right now, but you are still the same entity, even with change, so in a way, there is a possibility that you could be God. (in the future) But it's annoying, because then you could counter it and say "I know I'm not a god in a world where the former god would not allow other people to become gods." Then I could try and come up with another excuse as to why you could still be god. Then you could easily counter it with another sentence. The more you specify on what you can't be the harder it is for me to say otherwise. Even though your argument is already (probably) absolute. One more thing, I'm not very wise on the bible, but wasn't Jesus like.. god or something? I thought he was gods son before but I've heard people say he was god in human form and stuff so I'm not completely sure. But if that's the case, what if you were like Jesus, and you just didn't know it yet, or something. Well this debating is pretty pointless so I'll stop lol. |
