A tip for christians trying the "have you ever seen" method

Heres a tip. Say your trying to explain evolution. And somewhere along the lines they say. "Have you ever actually SEEN evolution happen?" You say "no,but theirs evidence of it". "Well then it didn't happened,because you didn't observe it." Now try something similar to this: Get a bucket of horse/cow/animal S**t. When your friends not home,smear it all over his house or car,or throw it at him when he's not looking,leave your hands messy,keep the bucket. He might say "DUDE,why did you throw/smear ANIMAL S**T ON ME/MY CAR/HOUSE!?!?!?" Say "How do you know it was me?" He could say "well your hands are COVERED in CRAP,and theirs a bucket of animal S**T RIGHT NEXT TO YOU,IT SAYS SO ON THE COVER." Then say: "But you didn't observe it." Note:I got this from a satire comic. |

The flaw with that argument is you could have simply been wanting to play around with the manure, while someone entirely different did the actual deed some time earlier. Even when it comes to law, things aren't always so simple and can easily fall into the area of no one actually seeing you commit the crime, therefore you're off the hook. |
