heres a little tip to help you post players get some more rebounds , (this is what got me to break the 8th grade rebounding record last year at my middle school)
.if your in the paint( which you should be if you play post or down low) which ever guy your guarding on defense as soon as the ball goes up out your body into him and then turn around and back him up
.if your on the line and somebody is shooting free throws befoer the ball hits the rim and you go after the ball make shure your elbow is above the other players elbow (this will help you drive in to him)
.Get angry! the reason i have an edge at paractice when we scrimmage and in games is because i basically just get pissed off and get more competitive! i love it when i'm on offense and i got some lttle faint heart tall kid beacause one little bump and they back way off , so dont be one of those little kids that just goes through the motions of , get out there and play basketball and play to win!
.this might happen to some of you (it happened to me a lot when i just started playing) when you come down and a little fregan guard strips the ball from you . when you come down after a rebound (defensive) get your elbows out , because after you come down and hit some poor little kid most likely hesn ot gonna want to come down in to the land of the giants again.and most of the time the refs ownt call it.
