Seriously, he is super talented and i love him as champion. I think he should be the first guy in decades to retain the title against the royal rumble winner at mania.

I think the last guy who did that was Hulk Hogan during his 4 year championship, undefeated streak.

Triple H, but for different reasons. He needs to be heel though. On a side note, Flair has won more world titles than 16. 3 are discounted by the WWE (but counted by the NWA) for the purposes of storylines and he has won countless more and then lost the belt again while touring teritories in the 80's.

After WCW's purchase by WWE, the lineage of the championships were kept and used to give the WWE United States Championship a prestigious history. However, WWE does not recognize some of the reigns of some wrestlers when the title was still the Mid-Atlantic NWA United States Championship. As of now, only four of Flair's five reigns with the NWA United States Heavyweight Championship (Mid-Atlantic version) are officially recognized by WWE.
