Is Randy Orton really ready for his Mystery Challenger this Sunday?

Friday Night SmackDown! had plenty of action to offer despite being just 48 hours away from Wrestlemania 24 & thanks to Shane McMahon, 'Legend Killer' Randy Orton (Steve3:16) may be more ready for his performance on the 'Grandest Stage of Them All' than he thought he ever could be!

McMahon gave the fans a real treat this week as he locked 20 of WWE's finest in one ring for an almighty Battle Royal. Amongst these twenty were five of WWE's current champions, with Ric Flair (~Compton Effect~) not being cleared to wrestle. Flair was first to be booted from the ring by Edge (Decorated in Flames), which may jeopardise his chances of walking out of Wrestlemania with the Tag Team Championship. Intercontinental Champion Kane (The KANEROONIE!!!) made an impressive six eliminations, tossing out Edge, King Booker, Batista (RKOrton), Montel Vontavious Porter (Adam_BOMB), Chavo Guerrero & Mick Foley (1oc). Meanwhile, Umaga (Containiac) & World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker (man of sno) eliminated each other, as did Bobby Lashley (Mystica619) & WWE Champion Ken Kennedy (~Compton Effect~). John Cena (man of sno) & Shelton Benjamin had a little help from United States Champion Matt Hardy (stylesclashswanton) & CM Punk (Mystica619) to haul The Great Khali (RKOrton) over the top rope, but Cena & Benjamin soon tossed Matt & Punk out with him!

With the Battle Royal now holding only Orton, Kane, Cena, Benjamin, Elijah Burke (The KANEROONIE!!!) & Jeff Hardy (stylesclashswanton), the action got even more intense. Hardy & Kane double teamed Burke while Cena & Benjamin took on Orton. Six were then whittled down to five when Kane chokeslammed Burke clean over the top rope! Orton then made an impressive comeback, taking Cena & Benjamin out with a double clothesline & then shoving Jeff Hardy flying from the top rope! An enraged Khali then returned to ringside & after bashing their skulls together, he drilled Cena & Benjamin through the announcer's tables with Double Handed Choke Bombs! With only Kane left, Orton began to smirk. The 'Big Red Machine' refused to go down without a fight & soon after beginning his domination of the 'Legend Killer', William Regal, Snitsky & Elijah Burke all imploded on the ring & laid a vicious beating on the Intercontinental Champion! Orton hit the RKO & the Society dumped Kane out, leaving Orton the winner! The mysterious video then blared througout the arena again with a clock counting down until Orton's match this Sunday! Orton then took a microphone & said he knows exactly who is coming for him at Wrestlemania & that he's going to grab this bull by the horns! Is Orton ready for what may be the biggest match of his career?

It wasn't just the Main Event that the Honor Society worked as a cohesive unit on SmackDown, as the night's opening contest showed everyone what they are prepared to do to get what they want. Marcus Cor Von (Pistol Pete Maravich) joined Hardcore Champion Finlay (gambito) against Sabu (The KANEROONIE!!!) & Tommy Dreamer (~Dr. Dude Love~) & in true Society fashion, Elijah Burke had his boys distract the referee while he electrocuted EC-Dubz, leaving them easy prey for Finlay & Cor Von! In other news, Mark Henry demanded a match with Shawn Michaels (KoRn) after he gave his girlfriend Ashley Massaro (KoRn) some Sweet Chin Music on RAW. Shane McMahon said he would give Henry exactly what he gave Michaels on RAW - a Handicap Match! Henry was then forced to face the 'Heartbreak Kid' & his partner Ivory, who amazingly didn't shy away from the 'World's Strongest Man'. HBK managed to get the win too after kicking Henry in the jaw & having him fall into Ivory's school boy pin! Plus, prior to entering the Battle Royal, Jeff Hardy & Mick Foley were caught up in an altercation backstage when Stephanie McMahon slapped Candice Michelle backstage upon confronted her & Kelly Kelly. Kelly slapped Stephanie for it, when suddenly, Melina speared Kelly to the floor & an almighty fight broke out! Jeff & Foley split the women up, and Foley didn't leave without dishing out a low-blow to Hardy!

Just days before they fight individually for the United States Championship, Johnny Nitro & Gregory Helms (Adam_BOMB) met one-on-one, with their girlfriends present at ringside. It was actually thanks to Katalina's distraction that gave Nitro the win! She hopped to the apron, causing Melina to pull her down & ram her into the steel steps! Helms wondered what was going on, leaving Nitro to use the ropes to roll him up! And finally, the WWE Diva's indulged in a Battle Royal of their own. Things got quite interesting following the respective eliminations of Jillian Hall, Victoria (Silverbolt), Torrie Wilson & Ashley as Women's Champion Mickie James (Decorated in Flames) & Beth Phoenix (Trish's Toyboy) took each other down with a twin neckbreaker & eliminated themselves! With just Maria & the undefeated Katalina left, Katalina lifted Maria into a Saving Grace & promptly eliminated her!
