Learned to play it on guitar? That's awesome! So being able to play co-op on Fable 2 is a definate yes then? Now that'll be great. |

That's cool, Skillet! I would love to see a youtube of that, even though it'll take longer to load the video than it would to make it. LOL Co-op Fable will be awesome. So how did you get the name Skillet? There's a good band with that name, and there's the treasure in Fable... I don't think those two are related. |

I should have learned years ago but never did, then lost my guitar to Katrina. I have a keyboard I've never learned to play either, even though my mom was a concert pianist many many years ago. I've been in two bands. One was okay, but we lacked commitment; so we faded away. The other never made it anywhere because we were really bad. My backup singers all wanted to outsing each other, and I didn't want to strip my chords again over such nonsense. So I left to let them fight over who would take over lead vocals and they split. A band is supposed to work together, not compete against each other. They didn't get it. |

I remember my mother had and played the guitar a bit when I was a kid. Aa-hh, memories. I've always loved the piano, and learned a tiny bit in high school, but that was it! I still would like to learn. Did you play an instrument when you were in that band guildmom? I actually was a good singer, too once. Not that I headed a band or anything. Both my daughters play the violin, and one is in the school band, and the choir. |

I never did learn to play an instrument, elle. Never had the patience, I guess. But I still want to learn enough to do something with my keyboard. It's a good one, but it's in storage right now. (I didn't know we'd be renting this long or I'd have brought it here.) My hubby plays guitar, just for fun. My son plays around on the bass guitar a little, but he doesn't have one yet. My daughter is in chorus in HS and the choir at our church. She doesn't play an instrument either, but she's talked about trying different ones... looking back, maybe I should put her on drums and we'll just start our own band. jk! Violin is such an amazing instrument and both your daughters play? If I could handle it, I'd love to learn it. It's so versatile, with a great sound. I've recently gotten into Vanessa Mae after hearing her version of Vivaldi's Summer (Storm). I never had the guts to really try the violin. If I knew then what I know now, I'd have taken it in college if not sooner. My mom quit playing when I was younger, too. For years I didn't understand why, but I do now. If all goes according to plan, we'll be getting a piano for the new house. Maybe my daughter and I will learn together. It'll help her with songwriting--especially the songs she writes for her books. She needs a classical instrument, but a portable one would be better (the keyboard is too big). Maybe if I tell her both your daughters play violin she'll have the confidence to at least try it. I know she likes listening to it, so maybe she will. |

Wow, I hope you get that piano for your place, and you and your daughter learn together. I was always a bit "nervous" of the violin too, guildmom, like I would scrape the strings or something! Plus learning the notes seemed hard. The girls make it look easy. Your daughter should go for it! My youngest daughter tells me that her class is learning to play bass guitar now. Good luck with the gig majiikmaster! |

Hey, spartan, good to see you here. There's also a Fable 2 forum, but it's not really active yet since the release date hasn't been announced. I wish they'd give us the month anyway! At least we know that it can't be any more than 8 months away. Waiting, waiting... majik, that's great! Let us know how it goes. What's the date and venue? (You don't have to name it, just what kind of place you're playing, how big, etc.) im not really into classical Ever heard orchestra used in rock? I like that sound. Bagpipes were a surprise, but it works for Korn. Classical instruments rock, too. Elle, at this rate your daughter will be a well-rounded musician! My bro-in-law was like that. |

well its in some kids backyard but im not sure when and were, my bass player knows but i havnt got around to asking him. and orchestras r good in rock but were a deathcore/emocore and theres probably gonna be mosh pits. we dont hav any songs yet, we mainly do remixes of bring me the horizon. there a pretty twisted band, for eg.: at the start of one of there songs the first thing sung is "3:18, your mouth tastes like the corpse of every pregnant teen," but u cant really understand what they say so it makes sense. |

and orchestras r good in rock but were a deathcore/emocore and theres probably gonna be mosh pits. Don't mosh the fiddle player... jk, but I hope you have a good time. Remember to relax. If the band is uptight and not having fun, it affects the audience. Have fun, (but not tooo much), and don't take yourselves too seriously! I don't have any of bmth's music on my computer unless it's hiding, and I don't know of any. I'm not really into deathcore anyway. |

If you can buy anything, I'll bet money will be a lot harder to make. There won't be anything as easy as the "exploit the trader" glitch, I'm sure. Still, it'll be cool to find something. |

From what I've read, it WILL be harder making money. Also, if you are renting out, and you push the rent too high, the tenants will leave. |
