The Uncounted Princess Ch. 28
|
Several hundred various curses on this sites cruddy password protection system. Kaira stared seriously at the boy. “I’ll tell you if you do two things. First, tell us your name, and second, swear loyalty to the Crown of Hyrule.” “I’m Fin, but why do you want me to swear loyalty to the Crown when there’s no Crown to be loyal too? The king and queen are gone,” the boy replied. “Oh, the Crown isn’t gone yet,” she replied. “Are you loyal or not?” “Yeah, I guess,” Fin answered. “What am I supposed to say? ‘By my life, I will be loyal to the Crown of Hyrule and never act against it,’ something like that?” “Good enough,” Kaira told him, never having actually learned what oath she was supposed to ask for. “You wanted to know who we are. These are my friends, Aziza and Cris, and I… I am Kaira, Princess of Hyrule, heir to the throne even though there’s no physical throne anymore. That answer your question?” She rolled her eyes at Fin’s look of astonishment. Before he rehinged his jaw and asked anything more, she told him, “Yeah, I’m that princess that nobody really thinks exists, I’m Zelda’s older sister, and no, I don’t know what happened to my parents.” Fin kept gaping. “I guess you can go home now- this is Impa’s house, in Kakariko, you only have a few streets to go. That will be all.” She fought the urge to laugh as Aziza and Cris ushered Fin, still staring, out of the room. After Fin left, Kaira and her friends set about cleaning the house up. “I’m glad he’s on our side now,” grumbled Cris, “but he didn’t have to make such a mess.” Kaira couldn’t agree more, picking up overturned furniture, cleaning up bits of broken glass, and pulling Fin’s needle-knives out of the walls. Eventually the house looked almost normal again, although there was nothing to be done about the scorch marks. Following the break-in, quiet returned to Impa’s house. Spring was beginning, and Kakariko became busy again. Farmers who lived in town for the winter were departing; merchants from the desert and Ordona passed through, and the weather was warm enough for people to stay outside again. Nothing happened all spring. Summer passed similarly, and autumn. Hyrule’s citizens went about their lives as though there was no threat of Ganondorf- and there did not seem to be any. Kaira, Cris, and Aziza continued to train anyway, knowing that this was just the calm before the storm that would surely come. Kaira visited Malon a few times, occasionally helping to train Epona, now a yearling. For a time of war, when the king and queen were absent, things seemed to be going extremely well in Hyrule.

No reason to be that harsh, Ezlo. BlueRapidash is writing very well, and personally, I think that the story could become quite enjoyable. Though I haven't read the others, so I can't really rate it. Anyway, well done BlueRapidash and good luck on your next episodes. I must admit that BlueRapidash's writing is exponentially better than yours, Ezlo... |

Yes, well, I am quite sorry to have insulted your best friend's writing. But, c'mon. This was just plain trash. I mean, liking the games is fine. But then, pretending to be a plot writer for Nintendo, is just..... wrong. There is a line between loving the game and obsessing over it. I think it is quite clear where bluerapidash stands. Good day. |

I can't see a problem with being obsessed with the game. I'm obsessed with the Kirby series. And anyway, whether it's right or wrong doesn't change whether the writing is good or bad. In fact, I don't even know BlueRapidash. I'm just saying that he should do what he wants. Though I see where you're coming from and I do respect your opinion. Please don't take my criticism of your criticism the wrong way. |

I am not pretending to be a plot writer. If you actually bothered to find the backstory of the fic, you'd know that it is definitely fanfic and meant as such. This is not my serious writing; I wrote it because I was bored. The reason I'm on 28 is because I have a tendency to finish things I start, a tendency which fewer and fewer people seem to have these days. I don't ask that you praise my writing, but please explain why it is trash if that is what you think of it. Just bashing it doesn't really help anything, and it won't make me stop. I wonder where KAZZ went...? -horsebackarcher |

I appreciate the sarcasm, ARK. It works even better than a straight answer. (that was not intended to be sarcastic) |

cmon elzo it's only this episode. Besides, you don't have to criticize his writing because he is "writing for nintendo" as you say. You are probably obsessed with something too. I am obsessed with smash bros. |
